Day 5 – Chillin’ in Hot Springs

Ahh, a day of no driving.  All of our bodies (including the four-legged critters) begged for a good hike up the Hot Springs National Park hillsides.  It felt good to stroll along the lazy stream in our “backyard” and give our climbing muscles a workout, and the exercise rewarded us with an impressive view of the Arkansas countryside.  Tomorrow we’re off to Nashville, TN.02-29 a 02-29 b

  1. We were in Nashville a couple of years ago and enjoyed it. Dick especially enjoyed a Civil War Library or Museum in Nashville. Your trip sounds great so far and it’s fun to follow you on your adventure!

  2. Don and Carol, enjoying your blog! We too have suffered that drive thru AZ, NM and TX…….but there ARE some good spots along the trail.

But on to your next stop: Nashville. We were there for 3 days last June…,what a blast! The tour of Ryman Auditorium is worth it. Also, we were in Nashville on a Saturday and got tix to the Grand Ol’ Opry……also well worth it and a ton of fun! There’s also the Country Music Hall of Fame…..but we didn’t go. But ditch the coach and walk around Nashville’s Broadway. Music EVERYWHERE. Legends was great…..Tootsie’s too. Cannot make a bad choice there.

Look fw to some of your N’Ville pix!!
